Title: Assistant Coach

The Asheboro Copperheads' coaching staff just improved with the hiring of 1st year coach Jeremy Knight as the assistant coach. Knight, who will work under the direction of six-year head coach Keith Ritsche, moves to the Coastal Plain League after a couple of seasons with the New Market Rebels of the Valley Baseball League, where he won a league championship in 2018. Knight is currently the assistant baseball coach at Southern Alamance High School, working under veteran mentor Jason Smith. 

"It's a great opportunity here in Asheboro for me to get into what I view as a bigger summer collegiate league." "It's an amazing feeling winning a summer title and I hope I can help bring one here to Asheboro.

Coach Knight is originally from Charlottsville, Va. Knight has several years of high school football and basketball coaching experience. He is now the hitting/outfield coach for Southern Alamance High School, which competes in the Mid-Piedmont Conference along with Randolph County foes Asheboro and Southwestern Randolph high schools. 

Jeremy also is a special needs teacher at Southern Alamance. He currently resides in Whitsett, NC. with his wife (Chelsea) and their two children Parker (3) and Easton (Born in Feb. 2020)
