The Asheboro Copperheads are currently seeking additional host families for the 2020 season.
Host families are required only to provide a clean, private place to sleep, a shower and laundry facilities. Players provide their own transportation and meals are not required, although families may include their players in family meals or other activities. Host families will receive complimentary season passes for all home games.
It is mandatory for all Copperhead players to obey all rules set forth by the team and especially their host family. Copperhead players can be good role models, teachers, and even coaches for younger children.
Players are scheduled to begin reporting to Asheboro around May 24 or 25. The team will hold its first workout that Monday, May 25, and then play its annual exhibition game with the Post 45 American Legion team on Wednesday night, May 27. The Copperheads open the Coastal Plain League season Thursday, May 28, at home.
